Applications for Air Quality and Human Health
Providing accurate measurements for developing research.
AirPhoton Sampling Stations
AirPhoton sampling stations collect particulates on filters. There are many instruments that do this, but we are able to add some unique features that make these instruments especially useful for studying air quality and human health:

Air Quality Applications: The SPARTAN Network
The best example of the use of AirPhoton instruments is illustrated by the SPARTAN Network. SPARTAN deploys AirPhoton Nephelometers and Sampling Stations alongside AERONET sun photometers to provide a rich and unique data set for the study of air quality and human health. Our publications page visually explains the valuable kinds of data that can be collected using our instruments. |
Research ApplicationsAirPhoton Polar/Laser Imaging Nephelometer
High quality data for research applications
This is a high-grade research level instrument that can be deployed in aircraft. It provides an unparalleled level of particle characterization including full-size distribution, the complex refractive index, aerosol phase function and polarized phase function. The data can provide data to help understand the role of aerosols in climate forcing and human health. Another application is to develop models used in satellite algorithms for aerosol and cloud products. |
Recent NewsAirPhoton has recently joined forced with GRASP-SAS to form the new company GRASP Global.
Our nephelometers and the new iMAP will be using GRASP inversions to maximize data content. |
