AirPhoton has been awarded a contract to provide ground instruments in support of the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory’s Multi-Angle Imager for Aerosols (MAIA) investigation. The MAIA satellite instrument is scheduled for launch in 2022 and will collect high quality data on fine particulate matter air pollution from space. MAIA will rely on our AeroExplorer sampling stations to collect particulates on filters at ground level for later analysis. This along with other information will allow MAIA to characterize the types of particulates that are most harmful to human health. You can read the full press release here.
